Cancellation Policy


Here at Gloss Studio, we hope that you can understand that forgetting or cancelling your appointment without enough notice forgoes the opportunity for me to fill that time slot with another client on my waiting list.

  • ​​We request at least 24-hours notice prior to cancelling and rescheduling appointments.

  • Late cancellation fees, billable prior to your next visit, are $25 + tax per service booked.

  • ​To reschedule or cancel any service, please email prior to the time restriction or rebook your appointment using the online booking app.​​

  • We are aware that certain situations may arise unexpectedly. We will continue to do our best here at Gloss Studio to work with you in case of emergencies.

Note: the cancellation policy is not enforced when we are under severe weather conditions.




No Show Policy


Gloss Studios’ no-show policy is strictly enforced. The no-show fee is billable prior to your next appointment at 100% of the missed service(s) reservation.

​Note: multiple no-shows will result in losing access to book appointments at Gloss Studio.




Late Policy


If you are going to be late, please call Gloss Studio ASAP.

Note: multiple late arrivals are subject to a late fee of $15 for every 15 minutes late.




Privacy Policy


All information collected by Gloss Studio is for the use of Lindsay, owner of Gloss Studio, and will not be given to any third parties. Your personal information is used to better serve you with appointment reminders, retail services, and yearly promotions tailored to your specific hair needs.




Confirmation Text & Emails


As a courtesy, Gloss Studio will send a text message and/or email to confirm your service appointment 24 and 2 hours prior to your appointment date. However, it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times to avoid late arrivals, missed appointments, and/or any policy fees noted above.

Note: these services are done via a third-party provider and will not be able to receive any incoming messages. To reschedule or cancel any service(s), please email the salon directly or rebook using the online booking app.




Refunds


There are no refunds for services rendered at Gloss Studio. If there is an issue, all attempts will be made by Lindsay to rectify the situation.

  • Any issues must be addressed within 1 week of your original hair appointment.

  • A change of mind about a colour request does not constitute an issue. Therefore, adjustments will be treated as a new service.

  • Please note, blonding your hair often takes multiple sessions to achieve the desired goal while maintaining the health of your hair. We, at Gloss Studio, will continue to keep your hair health a priority while aiming to achieve your hair goals.

Note: Lindsay is not responsible for the fading of hair colour due to improper care or using products that are not purchased directly from Gloss Studio. Please ask Lindsay about recommended products for your hair service, type, etc.




Right to Refuse


At any point, Gloss Studio and Lindsay, have the right to refuse a client if the hair is not suitable for the requested service. The appointment will then be canceled at no charge and will only be rebooked if requested conditions are met.

At this time, we are closely monitoring the Ministry’s Standards for salon procedures for accepting and/or denying clients who are sick post-COVID 19 pandemic.




Deposits


All hair extension, special occasion styling services of 3+ people, or colour corrections must be held with a credit card. In order to book the reservation, a minimum of 50% deposit is required.

These services cannot be cancelled within 48 hours of the reservation. If the cancellation is within 48 hours, the deposit amount will be used towards rebooking the next appointment and a fee of $100 is due prior to rebooking.

Hair extension deposits are to pay for the hair extensions, this type of deposit is non-refundable once the hair has been purchased. If you choose to cancel your extension service after the hair has been purchased you will be given the hair and no further amount will be due.
